Did you know acupuncture is effective in reducing the loudness and severity of tinnitus?

Tinnitus is commonly described as a ringing in the ears, but it also can sound like roaring, clicking, hissing or buzzing—and can be unpleasant and disorienting for the 32% of U.S. adults who report experiencing it.

But a study published in the National Library of Medicine found that acupuncture was an effective means for reducing symptoms.

How do we accomplish this? There is a point located along the hairline near the temple, one on each side of the head. Acupressure and acupuncture practitioners refer to this point as ST 8 or “touwei.”
